UMI XE 5-inch entry level Phablet launched for Rs.4,999/- UMI XE will directly compete with recently launchedMicromax A72 Canvas Viva which is now available for around Rs.6,500/- Both the device are 2G only.
XE has 1Ghz MediaTek MTK6517 processor paired with 256MB RAM. UMI XE is dual sim Phablet powered by Android 4.0 ICS which supports 5 point touch. On the storage part it has 128MB internal storage which is very low but it can be expanded upto 16GB with microSD card. It packs 2 megapixel with flash and auto focus rear camera and 0.3MP front camera. 2050 mAh battery should be enough for average users. The device is 10mm thick which is normal for the given price and specs.
Other features include are WiFi, 2G, 3.5mm Jack, microUSB, Bluetooth, Gravity Sensor and FM. XE is available in two standard colors Black and White and it weighs 150 grams with battery. They mentioned on their website that they will be giving 2x 2050 mAh battery. UMI is also giving away free leather cover and 4GB microSD Card along with the device.

It’s very affordable 5-inch Phablet under Rs.5000/- only downside of this device is 256MB RAM but its better than Micromax A72 Viva in terms of specs and also price. (Rs.1500 less than MMX A72). I have mentioned earlier also that 256MB will not give you good mobile gaming and multi-tasking experience. 256MB RAM devices should be only for basic telephony and Entertainment (audio and video).
