Popular television and monitor manufacturer, AOC has launched two new tablets - a 7-inch tablet at Rs. 7,990 and a 9.7-inch tablet priced at Rs. 12,990. Both tablets have been launched in the new Breeze series with the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
Both the devices have similar TFT LCD displays, but while the 7-inch tablet weighs 330 grams, the 9.7-inch device weighs 670 grams. They have similar 1.5GHz dual core processor with 1GB RAM. Both the devices have a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera.
Further, connectivity options on the 7-inch Breeze MD70DR-8 tablet include Wi-Fi, mini HDMI, micro USB etc. and it gets powered by a 3000mAh battery. It comes with 8GB internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card. The Breeze MG97DR-16 tablet is the 9-inch tablet and its connectivity options are micro HDMI port and two USB 2.0 ports for connecting 3G data cards, USB memory sticks, printers, mouse, keyboard and other assortments. This device comes with 16GB internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card. It runs on a 7000mAh battery.
The two devices will be available in the market by this month’s end. The trend of consumer electronics companies entering the mobile device market was set by Videocon in India and it looks like AOC is here to take on and pose a tough challenge for the company in the market. AOC has so far been excelling in the market with its LED and LCD desktops and televisions.
